Cotswold School Oak Sideboard by Gordon Russell C1940

Here we have a wonderful oak Gordon Russell sideboard. Most of the sideboards of this type are finished in walnut and not so many in lighter oak. The sideboard possesses the maker's badge to the rear and sits in fine order. These would have been retailed through Heal’s and the like and the craft quality and design is as you would expect, 1st rate from the Russell workshop. The top has a wonderful tight oak grain and an oak beaded edge. There are two flanking cupboards and four central drawers, the top one being sectioned for cutlery or whatever you desire, all with wonderful oak handles and solid mahogany linings. Condition is great with light day to day marks but nothing nasty. We have ensured the piece is ready for placing. A rather good looking piece from Gordon Russell.
