Brass ogee bracket feet and pull repeat cord to the side. An opening front door with strike/silent lever behind. A cast brass bezel with convex glass. An 8-day duration double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell signed 'Desbois & Wheeler, Grays Inn Passage (London). Desbois & Wheeler are noted clockmakers who worked from 1790-1835.
