Doulton Lambeth, Hannah Barlow Bowl with Solid Silver Rim

This is a magnificent Hannah Barlow bowl, made for Doulton Lambeth and date stamped 1880. This stoneware bowl has a squat rounded, cylindrical form, sgraffito decorated with a farmer and cows. The incised marks, stamp and date on the base are clear. The solid silver mount is hallmarked for Sheffield 1880, with the maker's mark of Jehoiada Alsop Rhodes & Barber.
