This is a duo of antique mortars with pestle. An English, bronze apothecary aid, dating to the early Georgian period, circa 1720.
Two appealing mortars with a pleasingly tactile pestle, displaying a desirable aged patina throughout. Quality, robust bronze with lightly time worn appearances. Concentric line detail accentuates the circumference. Pestle sitting nicely in the hand with lobed ends.
