Description
Very fine late 18th. century Dutch coopered and turned stripy tobacco box in mahogany, boxwood and ebony and with narrow brass bands to top and bottom. The turned lid with chequered inlay and turned knob. Still retaining its original internal lining. All in fine un-touched original condition with a little shrinkage to body as usual. Wonderful rich colour with great waxed patina. As good an example as I have had for some time.
