Early Victorian Miniature Painting of Mrs. Jancewicz c.1840

For sale this week is a wonderful portrait of a woman. From the style of her jewellry and hair, I would guess it was painted in the first half of the 19th century, between 1830 and 1850. The full-figured lady has blond hair in ringlets and is posed next to a wild rose. She is wearing a bracelet and her dress has lace accents. The painting is framed in an antique gilt wood frame. There is some writing in pen on the back of the painting which looks like "Mrs. Jancewicz (?) a friend of Mrs. Jeffries." The painting measures about 7.5 by 5.5 centimetres. The gilt wood frame measures about 20.5 by 19 centimetres. The condition to both painting and frame is very good. A previous owner has backed and enclosed the painting, but there doesn't appear to be any damage. Some minor wear and tear to the antique frame.
