Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Display Cabinet with Glazed Doors

An attractive Edwardian inlaid mahogany display cabinet, dating from around 1901–1910, with decorative marquetry, geometric glazing and a gently shaped bow-front lower section. The cabinet is crafted predominantly from mahogany and features fine light-wood inlay, including ribbon and swag decoration across the upper frieze and decorative oval motifs to the lower cupboard doors. The upper section has a pair of glazed doors with decorative geometric glazing bars and glazed sides. Inside are two shelves, creating three useful display levels for china, glassware, ceramics, books or decorative objects. Below is a shaped mahogany surface over a useful two-door cupboard with internal shelving, providing additional enclosed storage. Raised on slender tapered legs, the cabinet has elegant proportions and a relatively compact footprint despite offering generous display and storage space.
