This unusual silver mounted glue pot was made in Birmingham 1902 by the renowned silversmith Henry Matthews. The hobnail cut glass body mounted with a simple and elegant silver cover with a slim cylindrical handle. The inner cover with brush attachment. The hallmarked silver neck with a silver bar across to take off the excess of glue. Glue pots are rather scarce and this is a good example. Hallmarks:- H.M for Henry Matthews Birmingham Assay Mark Lion Passant Date letter "c" for 1902
