English 18th Century Georgian Opaque Twist Short Wine Firing Glass c.1760

18th Century antique opaque twist shot wine glass. A large conical bowl above a double series opaque twist stem consisting of two pairs of spiral tapes outside a gauze. Thick firing foot with snapped pontil. Date & Origin:- England, c1760 Period of George III Comments:- A very fine example with a large bowl and short stem, more in line with a large bowl wine glass than a short dram glass and will hold significantly more fluid than a standard wine...thus a short stem wine rather than a dram. The thick firing foot is very much an added bonus. A great glass that sits very well in the hand.
