An exceptional and particularly fine and rare Regency large Masonic type (GAOF - The Grand Alfred Order of Old Friends) Serving Rummer, profusely engraved with crowns, swords, keys, a cross, an eye, thistle, daggers and other emblems etc..., also monogrammed, inscribed No. 5 and dated 1814, on star-cut base 5 7/8thinches (15cm) height X 3 7/8th inches (10cm) bowl dia approx The initials running around the Rummer GAOF/GAOOF belong to the philanthropic order known as The Grand Alfred Order of Old Friends which is a splinter group from the Oddfellows.
