Description
Exceptionally rare 1895 first edition original hardback book "Matabeleland (And How We Got It)", By Capt. Charles L.Norris-Newman.
The book is in very good condition for its age, retaining both its original decorative red cloth boards and spine, and was published by T.Fisher Unwin, Paternoster Square, London.
The book was also signed by the author in 1896, with a legend that suggests it was presented to the 'Convent of Notre Dame' in Plymouth, a Catholic girls school, which still exists today. (See images).
