Description
Extremely rare and iconic original 1971 concert poster for Led Zepplin's performances during their two spectacular Electric Magic Shows at the Empire Pool, London, 20 & 21 November 1971.
Produced by Buffalo Concert Promotions, in association with the groups' manager, Peter Grant.
(These two world-famous shows featured a range of live and bizarre vaudeville circus acts that performed alongside and during the bands two live music concerts. The shows were a unique part of the bands UK tour at the time and also included acts such as plate spinners, trapeze artists and even pigs dressed as policemen!! Music support artists included "Stone the Crows" led by the late and great Maggie Bell.
The excitement and wide anticipation of the first show was enormous, (its c10,000 tickets being sold out within hours of going on sale). As such, the band decided to stage a second back-to-back (and sold out) show the following night! (And a note here for the music concert connoisseur...The poster indicates that show seats were priced at 75p per ticket!!)
The poster is framed to museum quality standard and comes with proof of provenance.
