An extremely rare item of antique silver flatware, bearing a William IV Chester hallmark. Oyster forks appear to have been primarily made and Assayed in Ireland making this piece assayed in Chester, of great interest to collectors. Oyster forks are often mistaken for a children's pieces due to their smaller proportions. This lovely example is in fiddle pattern and has script initials engraved to the top front. A good collector's piece with a practical use.
