Description
A superb example of Neo-Classical design, dating from the Edwardian era. This lovely piece is a double stamp box with a cut glass rectangular body. The sides are gently sloping and the base heavily cut in geometric patterns. Each panel is bevelled, denoting a high quality finish and the interior is divided into two sloping compartments for easy removal.
The gorgeous hallmarked silver lid features a repousse rural scene with cherubs at work. The heavy quality glass of the body allows an additional use as a paperweight and this gorgeous period piece would dress a desk beautifully.
