Ralph Lauren Leather Armchair in the French Louis XV Style (labelled) An impressive and generously proportioned leather armchair by Ralph Lauren, inspired by the elegant forms of 18th-century French Louis XV furniture. Extra Measurement: Seat Height 45 cm and Seat Depth 84 cm. The chair features a beautifully shaped and carved wooden frame, with a serpentine top rail, sweeping scroll arms, carved cabriole legs and scrolling feet. The shaped front seat rail is particularly attractive, displaying finely carved foliate decoration. Upholstered throughout in wonderfully rich cognac-coloured leather, with traditional brass stud detailing, the chair has developed a superb warm patina through use and age. The generously upholstered seat and substantial loose back cushion provide exceptional comfort, while the high, gently reclining back and deep proportions create an inviting and luxurious appearance. The leather displays natural creasing, surface wear and variations in colour, all contributing to its relaxed, lived-in character, so characteristic of Ralph Lauren’s timeless country-house aesthetic. The original Ralph Lauren label remains present beneath the chair.
