A particularly lovely example of an all iron Irish King size bed. Very nice and clear detail on the castings and clamps. The clamps have foliate inspired shaping, which looks almost geometric in its styling. The panel on both the head and foot have very nice shaping with a central flower shaped casting and further floral shaped blooms, all connected by Iron reed strip. Fully restored to be sturdy, practical and beautiful. Whole frame cleaned and tested for durability. Shot blasted and primed prior to hand paint finish in Little Greene’s Olive and Sage green, lightly dark waxed to protect, shine and give a gentle tonal variation throughout the bed. All joints checked for secure fit.
