Finely Carved Pair of 18th Century Giltwood Italian Cherubs

A lovely pair of carved giltwood cherubs, these are probably Venetian and date to the 18th century. They will look beautiful as decorative wall pieces, equally at home in a cosy boudoir or a grand country home. - Winged cherubs, each with a loincloth and carrying flowers with a rope and tassel. - Holes in the back suggest they would once have been attached to something, perhaps an item of furniture. - Currently with eyelets and wires to hang on a wall. In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There has probably been some restoration on a couple of the wings where they join the body.
