Description
Coming Through the RYE is one of Remmingtons most complex sculptures and one of the most important. It epicts four mounted hell-rising cowboys riding at full gallop, their arms raised, fireing their guns into the air.
The sculpture is a dearing technical achievement, and captures the swift movement and high spirits of the subject, with the horses with their head lowered and their tails whipping, the are seem almost suspended.
It is a work of uncompromising realism in every detail, from the costume, to the reins of he horses of this superb bonze. The affectionate and brilliant characterization of rowdy foursome, together of the lore of the wild west.
A full sized and substanchal piece, very very collectible and highly prized
