French Art Deco 1920s Hand Painted Lady with Bird Bakelite Powder Compact Rouge Pot Signed Tita

Offered for your consideration is this fabulous art deco, French rouge pot that measures 3.8 cm in diameter. This compact is made of bakelite and has wonderful scene of a young lady wearing a wide brimmed hat and dressed in large crinoline skirts holding a little bird in her hand. The lid is signed on the side Tita. This rouge pot is a screw top and opens correctly to reveal a powder well in the base which holds a blue silk backed lambswool puff with ring finial. Under the lid is a clear and reflective glass mirror. These little pots rarely come to market and this one is a fine example for the discerning collector.
