A fine landscape in cool colours, featuring a medieval tithe barn. The exact location is not given, but it looks a lot like the Tithe Barn in Great Coxwell, Oxfordshire. Our other George Guest print is of Badbury Hill fort nearby, so we know he painted in that area. This is a limited edition lithograph no. 5/200, bearing blindstamp, and is signed by the artist lower right George Guest was born in Yorkshire, studied at Camberwell School of Art, where he also later taught Printmaking, and settled in Wychwood Oxfordshire. He died recently. He has exhibited widely and several of his works are in the National Collection
