Description
George II style burr walnut desk, top with book matched burr walnut, herringbone inlay and broad crossbanding with stylish and elegant moulded fore edge, with one long drawer flanked by a pair of shorter drawers, each with stylish cast brass escutcheons and handles with pierced and engraved back-plates. Beneath the center drawer there is a shaped frieze which continues around the sides, the desk rests on four elegant cabriole legs with quarter blocks, carved shells on the facings and finishing on a simple but elegant pad foot.
