Description
Offered for sale is this early 19th Century (c.1810) Georgian antique sarcophagus shaped tea caddy in an unusual type of very figured mahogany. The sarcophagus shape lid with boxwood inlay, opening to a fitted interior with inlaid boxes and hand blown tinted glass mixing bowl. The waisted body with further boxwood inlay, brass lion head handles and cast bun feet.
