A pretty George III silver cream cream with fluted detail to the lower half and reeded rim and fluted handle. A bright cut engraved band of vines runs below the rim. Later gilded inside. Hallmarked for London 1799, maker's mark partially rubbed but I believe it is that of Peter & Ann Bateman (clearer to see in life than in the photo).
It measures 12cm (4 11/16") high, 12.5cm (4 7/8") spout to handle and 7cm (2 3/4") wide. It weighs 132g / 4.3ozt.
The Fancy Fox has clarified that the Georgian Silver Cream Jug London 1799 (LA358856) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1799
