Gustavsberg Argenta Silver Inlay Vasa Vase by Wilhelmina Kage c.1961

A striking Swedish Mid Century modern vase from Gustavsberg’s acclaimed Argenta line, designed by artistic director Wilhelm Kåge. Design & Commemoration: Finished in Argenta’s signature mottled green glaze, this piece features a detailed electroplated silver inlay depicting the historic Swedish warship Vasa on the front, with "WASA 1628" inscribed on the reverse. It was specially issued in 1961 to commemorate the raising and salvage of the Vasa ship in Stockholm. Markings: The underside retains its clear silver manufacturer marks (Gustavsberg, Argenta, Made in Sweden with anchor stamp), the original oval factory sticker, and the rare pink commemorative paper label stamped 1628 WR 1961. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with crisp silver inlay detail and no chips, cracks, or restoration.
