Description
This is a rare 16th Century antique oak coffer of good colour having linenfold carved panels. There is a small patch to the centre left panel otherwise in very good condition, retaining all original boards and remarkably the original shaped brackets. The back board and underneath surface are wonderfully dry and untouched just as we like to see. This model is often referred to as a Henry VIII coffer.
