Henry Wilkinson (1921-2011) Engraving of a Labrador Chasing a Duck

A lovely hand coloured limited edition engraving of a labrador chasing a duck in a landscape. (no100/150). Henry Wilkinson (1921-2011) studied at the Winchester College of Art and then the Royal College of Art where he also studied engraving. He became a member of the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers after the war. He was a prolific engraver of hunting scenes and was particularly well known for his portrayals of dogs. This piece is full of movement and the artist has managed to capture intense concentration in the eyes of the dog It is signed by the artist lower right and on the plate.
