Hermès Porcelain Ashtray with Oriental Equestrian Scene

An elegant vintage Hermès Paris porcelain ashtray, beautifully decorated with a richly gilded central panel depicting an Oriental equestrian scene featuring a mounted horseman and attendant. The broad border is embellished with an intricate geometric pattern in warm gold tones, framed by four sculptural cigarette rests and finished with a polished gilt rim. Originally designed as a luxury ashtray, this exceptional piece now serves equally well as a decorative vide-poche or catchall for jewellery, watches, keys or other treasured objects. The underside retains its original protective felt covering, while the side bears the Hermès Paris label, confirming its authenticity.
