This inkwell is designed in the form of a primate's head, dating from the 19th century, possibly a Black forest piece. It is crafted from wood materials, featuring detailed sculpting that captures the facial characteristics of a primate. Slight damage and loose hinge.

condition
Glass eyes & ceramic ink well in good condition. Overall wood is in good condition with a slight split in 'lid' & small lose of wood to hinge which has allowed the screw to come out (one screw not present) this has sanctioned the lid to have movement and not successfully secured.
