Irish Fairy Tales Book First Edition

A very nice copy indeed with the rare dust jacket, all very clean & tight with just some offsetting or browning caused by the flap of the dust jacket on the free end papers, bound in its original green cloth with gilt titles to the spine and front board along with a warrior and two dogs also in gilt this is copied on the dust jacket , the dj is edge worn and creased with small pieces missing from the rear and top front, the spine has a 50mm piece missing at the bottom and 10mm at the top front is a little grubby but still looks good in a removable clear protector. Signature by the illustrator Arthur Rackham laid in on the half title page. The book has 16 amazing color plates all with tissue guards by probably the best book illustrator ever, Arthur Rackham, along with many black and white illustrations. It includes a laid in advertisement for other Rackham books. Stunning & scarce in such good condition.
