Italian Carved, Gilded & Marble-topped Console Table

Circa 1920s. An unusual, stylish, carved, gilded and marble-topped console table, with a carved and gilded frame with pierced sections on top and sides, the mirror is etched with foliate designs and string lines, the top with a green mottled marble insert with two carved full-length drawers beneath, resting on a platform burr walnut base, supported on a pair of carved, pierced and gilded legs with a large carved scallop shell in the center, the mirrored back, which is in a profusely pierced and carved frame, resting on four squat carved bun feet.
