Superb and rare Italian Renaissance walnut wedding chest or cassone from the late 16th century from the Tuscany region.
Very beautiful chest with a wood marquetry coat of arms in its centre, which is unusual, representing a castle.
This beautiful quality chest rests on lion claws. Its two uprights are decorated with carved heads.
Very beautiful moulding work on the front, sides and on its top with fine lemon tree inlays.
Very beautiful moulded top and topped with a raised and moulded top.
