James Plant of Hanley British Art Nouveau Ceramic Vase C1915

For sale is this attractive English Art Nouveau vase designed by James Plant for Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The pottery produced a range of vases of varying shapes including this one which was probably inspired by the Dutch Potters from Gouda as well as designs by Dr. Christopher Dresser. This vase dates to about 1915 and is signed on the underside with a painted script signature. The vase is about 9 1/2 inches tall and 7 1/2 inches wide at the widest point. It weighs about 1,345 grams. The condition of the vase is good with no noticeable chips or cracks. Some glaze crazing, soiling, and minor wear only.
