I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop at 26 High St Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

James Priddey Coloured Etching - Autumn Tints, Cheshire
This is a beautiful rural view of Cheshire with stone cottage and rippling stream in the lovely warm colours associated with this artist. His style is very distinctive and he always manages to create a softness and timeless quality in his work, as in this very atmospheric piece. Signed lower right and bearing an impressed seal of Warwick Galleries, Birmingham "artist's proof".
James Priddey (1916-1980) was a prolific printmaker and watercolourist who was active in the 1950s and 1960s and died in 1980. He was based in Birmingham and became President of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. He exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists, among many others.

Excellent. Presented in original frame which is black painted and rubbed back to reveal glimpses of brown wood - which complements the autumnal theme of the picture. Some minor discolouration to cream mount.
