I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop at 26 High St Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Kathleen Caddick: Watercolour of Berkshire Landscape "Hillside Cottages"
This is a stunning landscape in soft colours by popular contemporary artist, Kathleen Caddick (b.1937). One usually only comes across limited edition etchings of her work, but this is a watercolour with gouache, bearing a Bankside Gallery label verso and an original price tag of £615. Signed with monogram lower right and with full signature to backboard verso.
Born 1937 in Liverpool, Caddick spent her childhood in Buckinghamshire, where she is said to have been inspired by the beechwoods and distant views offered by the Chilterns. She studied at High Wycombe College of Art. Later she became a freelance designer and art teacher and then ran a graphics design studio. She started painting full time in 1968 and etching from 1976.
