Lalique France 'Nemours' Bowl in Clear & Frosted Glass with Enamel Detail

A really beautiful Lalique “Nemours” Bowl Designed in 1929 by René Lalique in clear glass, the Nemours bowl is a magnified evocation of the poppy flower of which the town of Nemours has made poppy candy its specialty. Highlighted with 240 hand applied black enamel dots, each flower exhibits grace and style. A really stunning piece in pristine condition and comes fully signed on the underside in script “Lalique (R) France”. Supplied with its original box A few internal marks to the bowl commensurate with age and use. This piece dates to circa 1980, such is the popularity of this design, it is still available today for £1200. Stands 9.5cm tall and measures 26cm in diameter and weights just under 2.5kg. The quality of this piece is remarkable, no wonder it is so popular.
