Large Antique Cameo Brooch with Gold Frame

A spectacular antique brooch featuring a scene of a gathering of people, a person kneeling & begging with a man on horse, made from a detailed shell Cameo. The frame is made from 9ct Gold, unmarked but tested. The fixture is secured by a singular bar that fits into a C scroll hook, additionally along with a safety chain. Very good condition for the age, the metal work has imperfections due to age & the rear of the cameo has an inscription (see images for all details).
