Description
This is a large 19th Century (c.1870) antique brass-mounted mahogany bijouterie table. The rectangular hinged top with a bevelled, glazed centre with brass edging within a crossbanded Spanish mahogany frame. The front and rear friezes with brass mounted panel with lion heads handle decorations and matching side panels. Supported on fluted, turned, tapering legs with ormolu mounted capitals with an undershelf with brass supports and parquetry panels, the feet terminating in cast brass toes.
