Large Antique Optician's Shop Sign. Optometrist Spectacles Glasses

This fabulous large optician's trade sign which is made of gilded and painted zinc is in the form of a pair of spectacles and dates from the late 19th century. This highly decorative antique piece which is a large size originated in France and would have been hung outside an optician's / optometrists. This sign is fitted with it's original handmade red and blue coloured glass lenses which have beautiful variations, flecks and bubbles. The aged patina and weathered condition give it a wonderful attractive look. A very nice large sought after antique piece that would look amazing in the home and ideal for use in a shop window display or an opticians / optometrists.
