Description
This is a large antique shipping chest. A Continental, aluminium travelling trunk, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Distinctive aluminium appearance, with a useful proportion, displaying a desirable aged patina throughout. Aluminium panels reinforced with rivet bonded finish. Each corner enhanced with steel cappings.
Ornamental clasp to the centre of the fascia — key absent. Lid held securely by a pair of latches. Interior finished in a bright cream canvas textile. Delightful, aged leather straps aid ease of carriage.
This is a well-proportioned antique shipping trunk, with an eye-catching appearance. Delivered ready for the home.
