Hutton-Clarke Antiques is pleased to offer this impressive French Louis-Philippe period carved oak mirror, circa 1840.A substantial piece with a richly carved solid oak frame, featuring deep rounded corners and continuous foliate decoration typical of the period. The carving shows excellent depth and crisp detailing, giving the mirror a strong decorative presence.
Retaining its original mercury-style glass, the plate shows the desirable soft ageing and sparkle consistent with early mirrors, adding charm and authenticity. Its large scale makes it ideal for use as an overmantel, hall mirror, or statement floor mirror in a modern interior.
