Description
This is a superb large Victorian (1851) antique sterling silver-gilt and glass inkwell or bottle. It features a silver-gilt hinged lid and collar, and is fully hallmarked. The original wrythen-moulded glass bottle is notably heavy and thick-walled, giving it a substantial feel in the hand.
A decorative piece, it would make an elegant addition to any desk or dressing table.
Hallmarks: London, Silver fineness 925.
