Large Marine Painting by Michael Matthews Miranda Clipper Ship

An impressing 20th century Gouache on card by Marine artist Michael Matthews titled 'The Clipper Ship Miranda Off The Firth Of Tay'. His works are sought after and collected world wide with his works appreciating year on year. A pair of Oils 'Moonlit Victorian Dock Scenes sold in January 2017 for £1700. As always with Michael Matthews his marine scenes are superbly painted,precise attention to detail with his pictures filled with interesting arrangements. The painting is presented behind glass in a double card mount and I believe in its original 20th century frame, ready to hang with hooks and wire. The size of the painting is 390mm high x 665mm wide, the frame size is shown below.
