Large Patchwork Model of Giraffe Kantha Fabric

This is a fabulous large model of a very charcterful giraffe. The vintage giraffe is really well modelled with great form. Handcrafted in India, this unique piece features an underlying wood and wired frame completely wrapped in a patchwork of vintage sari textile remnants and traditional kantha-style fabrics. The sculpture has a striking palette of contrasting colours. Each section is artfully joined by decorative hand-stitching, adding wonderful texture and rustic, artisanal character to the overall design. This particular giraffe stands 150cm tall and is 70cm long so has quite a presence in a room.
