Large Vintage Patchwork Model of Camel Kantha Fabric

This is a fabulous large model of a very charcterful camel. The vintage colourful camel is really well modelled with great form. Handcrafted in India, this unique piece features an underlying wood and wired frame completely wrapped in a patchwork of vintage sari textile remnants and traditional kantha-style fabrics. The sculpture has a striking palette of contrasting colours. Each section is artfully joined by decorative hand-stitching, adding wonderful texture and rustic, artisanal character to the overall design. This particular camel stands 120cm tall and is 100cm long so has quite a presence in a room.
