Large Victorian Brass Telescope by Dollond of London

A wonderful item for a library, this brass refracting telescope by Dollond of London dates to the mid 19th century and will make a great decorator's piece for a seaside property. It will be perfect for checking out the landscape, the sea and the birds. - Mahogany box. - Tripod base. - Engraved Dollond of London. Primary barrel shows indentations and marks commensurate with age and use. The astronomy lens is missing and the screw fit of the end tubes put them slightly out of true, but it functions for a long distance view.
