Coloured etching of Grouse Shooting dated 1798 by Samuel Howitt (1756-1822). He is associated mainly with sporting subjects and illustrations of natural history. He painted in oils adn watercolour as well as publishing various series of sporting etchings. He was closely associated with Thomas Rowlandson, whose sister he married. He exhibited at Royal Academy and Incorporated Society of Artists.
