Late 19th Century French Bronze Figure by Henri Ple

This is a late 19th Century French antique bronze figure depicting a standing male holding a spear and with a helmet at his feet. - signed and inscribed. in very good condition and with brown patination. Henri Honore Ple was a French painter and sculptor, who trained under the celebrated French sculptor Mathurin Moreau. He exhibited for the first time at the Paris Salon in 1877 and received an honourable mention in 1879.
