Late 19th Century Mirror

Late 19th Century trumeau mirror depicting Bacchanalian Infants Playing with Satyr - an original work that is in the V & A Museum, London. The "Bacchanalian Infants Playing with Satyr" is a relief sculpture, likely an ivory carving, created in the Southern Netherlands between 1650 and 1670. It depicts a group of putti (infant figures) playfully interacting with a satyr, a goat, and other elements. The piece is attributed to following François du Quesnoy, a Netherlandish sculptor who spent much of his life in Rome.
