Lincolnshire Regiment Officers Home Pattern Helmet

A good piece of early 20th Century militaria. This dark blue cloth helmet with metal cross piece, spike and ear bosses has a gilt chain that can be found attached. The front of the helmet has a regimental badge with the words 'The Lincolnshire Regiment' upon it. The interior has a crimson and leather band with a green surround. A metal trim can be found to the front. The original regiment was raised in 1685 and later served at home stations, on the Western Front, in Egypt, Gallipoli and India.
