Lund of London Coromandel Writing Slope c.1850

A stunning large sized coromandel writing slope made by Lund of London. It’s of a super quality through out and a stunning conditioned example. It’s coromandel veneered onto solid mahogany which is a rare combination. It has a mother of pearl inlay on the centre lid and another for the escutcheon at the front. The interior is all original with the leather writing section and various compartments through out. This example comprises of 3 secret drawers and two large storage sections. This slope dates to early Victorian 1850 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key. The Lund of London is stamped just in front of the lock. Materials: Coromandel, mother of pearl
